Yes, the Gate Brace comes with 6 metal self-taping screws, and 4 wood lag screws

Wood expands and contracts, and a wood 2x4 and/or wood picket used as a brace will definitely fail over a short period of time.

Q: What’s the difference between the Gate Brace and other similarly-designed products on the market?

The Gate Brace comes fully assembled out of the box, and literally takes minutes to install to solve your sagging gate problems. Additionally, the Gate Brace is more versatile in that it installs on wood and ornamental gates.

Q: I’m installing a brand-new gate- should I install a Gate Brace now while the gate is still new?

Absolutely. Wood expands and contracts, and a wood 2x4 and/or wood picket used as a brace will definitely fail over a short period of time.

Q: Does the gate have to be removed to install the Gate Brace?

No, you do not need to remove your gate to install the Gate Brace; however, you must remove any existing cross-bracing that may be on your gate prior to installing the Gate Brace.

Q: Can the Gate Brace be adjusted after it is installed?

Absolutely. Simply remove the self-taping metal screw in the center of the Gate Brace, rack your gate and reinstall the self-taping screw in the second hole that’s located in the center of the Gate Brace. Problem solved!

We would not recommend installing the Gate Brace on gates with an opening larger 6’ wide, and on a gate with a 6’ wide opening, we recommend installing two Gate Braces in tandem.

Q: How long will the Gate Brace last?

The Gate Brace will out-live your gate!
